Square Trade Warranties?
If any of you received new iPads, iPhones, kindles, digital cameras, etc for Christmas ... you should check this out!
When we bought our iPad this summer my sister-in-law introduced me to Square Trade Warranties.
She knew I was worried about something happening to the iPad (like getting water spilled on it or dropping it) ... especially since we were planning on letting the kids use it.
For a great price I was able to buy a 3 year warranty plan that covers accidents like water damage and broken screens. I signed up for email alerts and have noticed there are often sales/promotions on the warranties and I got mine for 30% off!
Then, the inevitable happened ... our iPad got dropped on exactly the right spot and the screen cracked. Bad. Before I had a heart attack I remembered that our warranty covered accidents. I made a claim online with Square Trade and within a day or two they sent me a pre-addressed Fed-Ex box. I sent my iPad in and within 5 business days I had it back in my hands with a new screen. The fine print of my warranty tells me that if they can't fix your current product (my iPad) they would refund you money to buy a new one!
I was more than pleased with their service, efficiency and also their price. I am not being reimbursed for this post or anything ... I just wanted to share my great experience with you. If it wasn't for my sister-in-law telling me about it in the first place who knows what would have happened with our screen-cracked iPad?!?!
I believe you have 30 days from the day of purchase to buy a warranty ... so you better get crackin' if you want to buy coverage for any new gadgets you go for Christmas!
